Not without a prior assessment: the case file contains information covered by professional secrecy. Three options: (1) strictly anonymise it before sending, (2) use Claude or Mistral on an EU-hosted instance with an appropriate GDPR agreement, (3) process it locally with Ollama. We help you choose according to the level of sensitivity.
Which model is best suited to lawyers? +
The choice rests on your legal tasks: accuracy of references, faithfulness to the documents, drafting quality and confidentiality safeguards. A model installed within the firm limits external transmissions, provided access is secured; European hosting is suitable when outsourcing is permitted and governed. The right choice depends on case file sensitivity and budget.
Can I fund the training through FIF-PL? +
Colombani.ai is Qualiopi-certified (certificate QUA009472) and registered under training provider number 11757549975. Self-employed lawyers can apply for FIF-PL funding, the decision resting with the funding body based on its criteria and budgets. The attendance certificate and all required documents are provided.
Claude or ChatGPT for a law firm, and how should use be governed? +
Both suit a law firm in their professional plans (Claude Team or Enterprise, ChatGPT Business or Enterprise), whose data is not used by default to train models, although that alone is not enough to protect professional secrecy; the choice depends on the tasks and on the tools already in place. Governance matters more than the tool: a policy setting which data is allowed, pseudonymisation of documents containing names, systematic checking of cited references and informing the client depending on the use, all points covered by the French national bar council's ethics and AI guide.
Deploying AI in a regulated profession while respecting professional secrecy: which experts? +
