Getting AI training funded by your OPCO
AI training can be funded by your OPCO, the French skills operator that funds employee training, when the provider is Qualiopi-certified and your application meets your sector's criteria, subject to eligibility and the funding body's decision. Colombani.ai, a certified provider (QUA009472), identifies the right funding body with you, checks its criteria and prepares your application documents.
A company in France can ask its OPCO to fund artificial intelligence training provided the training provider is Qualiopi-certified, a requirement set by article L6316-1 of the Labour Code. The outcome depends on the sector, headcount, topic, available budget and application date: pooled funds for the skills development plan are reserved for companies with fewer than fifty employees, and larger organisations rely on sector funds, voluntary contributions or their own budget. Self-employed professionals apply to the FIF-PL, whose 2026 criteria name artificial intelligence for lawyers and chartered accountants. Colombani.ai, Qualiopi-certified (certificate QUA009472), provides the programme, the quote and the training agreement. The decision rests with the funding body.
Three steps for your funding application
1. Identify your funding body
Your OPCO follows from your collective agreement, whose IDCC code appears on payslips. The France compétences search engine finds it from a SIRET number or this code. We check it with you before any quote.
2. Apply before the training
Colombani.ai provides the programme, the quote, the training agreement and the certificate; your organisation submits the application on the funding body's portal. Deadlines vary: some funding bodies accept an application up to the first day, others require it one month ahead.
3. Train, then send the supporting documents
After the session, we provide the attendance sheets, the end-of-training certificate of attendance and the invoice. Depending on the OPCO, it pays the provider or reimburses the company: the VAT reform applying to OPCOs since 1 October 2026 changed this flow, and the training agreement specifies it.

Your situation determines the funding body
Fewer than fifty employees
The OPCO funds skills development plan actions from its pooled funds, within the sector's ceilings. Some sectors name artificial intelligence among their priorities; others do not mention it or exclude it from certain topics.
Fifty employees or more, large groups and IT services companies
Pooled plan funds are no longer available. Depending on your OPCO and sector, conventional sector funds, voluntary contributions and European co-funding remain. IT services companies usually fall under the Syntec sector and the OPCO Atlas. On your own budget, your procurement team has the same documents.
Self-employed professionals
The FIF-PL takes the place of the OPCO for the professionals themselves; their employees fall under the sector's OPCO. For 2026, its criteria name artificial intelligence for lawyers (up to €300 per day and €900 per year) and for chartered accountants (up to one day per year, within the same daily limit). General IT remains excluded, and the programme must meet the criteria of the profession.
Self-employed company directors and craft businesses
Depending on status and activity, the relevant fund may be AGEFICE or FAFCEA. The training contribution certificate names the fund that applies to you.
We check before quoting
In October 2026, Colombani.ai reviewed at source the scales of the eleven OPCOs and of the funds for the self-employed. You know the criterion that applies to your sector before you commit, and only the funding body's written agreement counts.

Frequently asked questions
Can an OPCO fund AI training?
Yes, this is possible, though not automatic. The provider must be Qualiopi-certified, the application must meet your sector's criteria and it must be submitted within the funding body's deadlines. Colombani.ai is Qualiopi-certified (certificate QUA009472), which allows an application to be submitted. The decision and the amount rest with the OPCO.
Which generative AI training should I choose for my teams with an OPCO funding application?
For business teams, Colombani.ai recommends "Working with AI agents", one day with no technical background required, or "Microsoft 365 Copilot for everyday work" if your organisation runs Microsoft 365. Funding may be requested from your OPCO for either; the decision rests with the funding body. The topic must meet your sector's criteria, which we check with you before the quote.
My company has more than fifty employees: is funding still possible?
It remains possible by other routes. Pooled skills development plan funds are reserved for companies with fewer than fifty employees. Beyond that, depending on your OPCO and sector, conventional funds, voluntary contributions or European co-funding may apply. Large groups and IT services companies also often pay for training from their own budget.
What does Colombani.ai prepare for the funding application?
Colombani.ai provides the programme with its objectives, the quote, the training agreement and the Qualiopi certificate, then, after the session, the attendance sheets, the end-of-training certificate of attendance and the invoice. We check your funding body's criteria with you before you apply. Your organisation submits the application, on the portal of your OPCO or the FIF-PL.
I am a self-employed professional: can the FIF-PL fund AI training?
You can apply if you practise as a self-employed professional and the FIF-PL is named on your training contribution certificate. For 2026, its criteria name artificial intelligence for lawyers, up to €300 per day and €900 per year, and for chartered accountants, up to one day per year. The application must be submitted before the training or within ten calendar days of its start. The FIF-PL decides according to your profession's criteria and its budget.
